If a cancellation prior to arrival is due to COVID-19 your non-refundable £50.00 administration deposit can be carried forward and used before the end of our 2021 guest season.


If a guest develops symptoms while staying with us, they will need to immediately book a test online through NHS Inform, or by telephoning 0800 028 2816.  They will also need to inform us immediately and the affected bedroom guests will be required to isolate. If the test is negative, isolation can end.

If the test is positive, isolation should continue and the NHS Test and Protect Team will be in touch to start contact tracing. In line with Scottish Government Public Health advice, guests should travel home to isolate if safe to do so and they can avoid public transport.  If this is not possible the guest should discuss this with the NHS Test and Protect team.  If travel is not possible, guests will be liable to pay all costs associated with their extended stay.


If a guest party is required to isolate at Loch Aluinn and another guest party is due to arrive, the new party will be offered a full refund or (if appropriate) stay in our alternative self-contained accommodation.

By placing a booking with Loch Aluinn B&B (the property owners), you (lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to abide by the following terms and conditions set-out.  If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.

The person (lead person) making the booking can be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and any damages should they occur.


Full 100% payment is required at the time of booking and will be charged to the credit card you provide upon making a booking. £50.00 of this payment is an administrative non-refundable deposit.


Check in is between 4pm and 8pm. You should contact us if your planned arrival time is going to be delayed - if there is no contact prior to the latest check-in time of 8pm you may be considered to be a no-show.  Guests must vacate their rooms by 10am on the day of departure.


The maximum group size we accommodate is 4 guests within 2 double bedrooms.


Sorry, we are unable to accommodate children, all guests must be aged 18 or over.


Sorry, we do not accommodate animals other than assistance pets which are actively working to support a guest.


For incidentals, we accept payments on departure by credit/debit card or cash.


If you need to cancel your booking with us please make contact as soon as possible.

If you cancel more than 7 days before your arrival date you will be refunded the payment made minus the £50.00 non-refundable deposit. If you cancel less than 7 days before your arrival your full payment will be non-refundable.  If we are able to re-let the room(s) we reserve the right to waive your cancellation fee.  Non-arrivals will be classed as cancellation with less than 7 days’ notice and payment will be non-refundable.

We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.


In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of your payment already made to us.


In the unlikely event that any damage in the room caused by misuse (e.g. smoking, spillages, stains or food preparation) or carelessness will be charged along with any resulting lost rental nights. The material cost(s) will be decided from a quote from an appropriate repair service or replacement provider as required to return the room to the original standard.

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests and the owners at all times.  We reserve the right to terminate the booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or cause a disturbance / nuisance to others.


We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your group or any vehicles or possessions.


Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars or vapes is only allowed in the designated outdoor areas.  Should any guest be found smoking within the premises we can charge a £50.00 cleaning fee.


The access has steps with handrails fitted leading up to the main door. The bedrooms and communal areas are all on the ground floor with no steps/stairs.  Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.


WiFi access is available and guests accept to use this appropriately. The internet access is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media and light video/music/media streaming.  Due to our geographical location the service can fluctuate at times and this is beyond our control.
